Welcome to BullionLive (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how BullionLive — Live Gold & Silver Prices India, developed by Dhanasekar K, collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (“App”) available on the Google Play Store.

By downloading, installing, or using BullionLive, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Portfolio holdings (metal type, weight, purchase price, notes) — To track your gold and silver investments and calculate profit/loss. This data is stored locally on your device only
Price alert settings (metal, target price, condition) — To send you push notifications when gold/silver prices reach your specified targets
Feedback messages — To improve our app based on your suggestions, submitted voluntarily through the in-app feedback form
Theme preference (dark/light mode) — To personalize your visual experience

App usage analytics (screens viewed, feature usage, session duration) — To understand how users interact with the app and improve the experience. Collected via Google Firebase Analytics

4. App Permissions

INTERNET — Required to fetch live gold, silver, platinum, and palladium prices from international commodity APIs, load advertisements, sync analytics data, and deliver push notifications
POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+) — Required to send you price alerts when gold or silver crosses your target price, and to deliver daily price update notifications
VIBRATE — To provide haptic feedback when price alert notifications are delivered to your device

BullionLive requests only the minimum permissions necessary to provide its core functionality. We do not request access to your location, camera, contacts, storage, or any other sensitive permissions.

5. How We Store Your Data

5.1 Local Storage (On Your Device)

The following data is stored only on your device using local storage and is never uploaded to any server:

Portfolio holdings (gold/silver investments you have added)
Price alert configurations
Language and theme preferences
Selected district and state
Onboarding completion status
Cached price data for offline viewing

5.2 Cloud Storage

Analytics data and crash reports are transmitted to Google Firebase servers located in secure data centers. This data is handled according to Google Firebase’s Privacy Policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

BullionLive displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support the free version of the app. The following ad formats are used:

App Open Ads — Ads shown when the app is brought to the foreground

8. Price Data & Accuracy

BullionLive prices are calculated using the following methodology:

International Spot Price — Live XAU (gold) and XAG (silver) prices in USD per troy ounce from global commodity markets
Currency Conversion — Converted to Indian Rupees (₹) per gram using real-time USD/INR exchange rates
Purity Adjustment — Prices calculated for multiple purities (24K, 22K, 18K for gold; 999, 925, 800 for silver)
Regional Adjustments — India’s import duty (~7%), local dealer premiums, and estimated transport costs applied based on your district tier

Prices shown are approximately 95% accurate. The remaining ~5% variation may occur due to:

City-specific additional charges and local market conditions
Individual jeweller premiums and making charges
Real-time market fluctuations during data fetch intervals
Temporary API response delays
Local hallmarking fees and wastage charges
State-specific taxes or surcharges not fully accounted for

9. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data may be shared only in the following circumstances:

With Google Services — Analytics, crash reports, and ad data are shared with Google Firebase and Google AdMob as described in Section 6

10. Data Retention

Local device data (portfolio, alerts, preferences) — Retained until you uninstall the app or clear app data
Firebase Analytics data — Up to 14 months (managed by Google)
Crashlytics crash reports — Up to 90 days (managed by Google)
FCM push notification tokens — Until the user uninstalls the app or the token expires
